The Holy Monastery is dedicated to St. John the Theologian and St. Arsenios the Cappadocian. In the Monastery we find the Relics of St. Arsenios the Cappadocian, which are located in its catholicon, as well as the grave of Osios Paisios.

MONASTERY OF SAINT JOHN THE THEOLOGIAN

The Monastery of St. John the Theologian is located in Souroti, Thessaloniki. Souroti is located about 28 kilometers from Thessaloniki, not far from the main road that connects the city with the capital of Chalkidiki, namely Polygyros.

The Holy Monastery is dedicated to St. John the Theologian and St. Arsenios the Cappadocian. In the Monastery we find the Relics of St. Arsenios the Cappadocian, which are located in its catholicon, as well as the grave of Osios Paisios. Osios Paisios slept in July 12, 1994 and was buried beside the temple of Saint Arsenios. Since then, every year on the 11th to 12th of July, on the eve of the Elder's sleeping, there is a vigil in the Holy Hermitage with the participation of thousands of worshipers.

MONASTERY OF ST. ANASTASIA FARMAKOLITRIYA

The Holy Royal Patriarchal and Stavropygian Monastery of Agia Anastasia Farmakolitriya in Chalkidiki was founded in 888 by Augusta Theophanous, during the Patriarchy of Photios the Great. In the year 1552, the Holy Monk Theonas, with his escort, reestablished this Holy Monastery, became its Abbot and was later promoted to the Archbishop of Thessaloniki, where he had a canonised ending, and the Church ranked him with along with all the Saints. In the Holy Monastery, the Holy Skull of Agia Anastasia, the Holy full body relic of Saint Theonas, the Abbot of the Monastery and Archbishop of Thessaloniki, Holy Wood which was donated by Augusta Theophanous and many other Holy Remains, are kept.
